Stitching, Latte, Long Day

I think the combo of a busy, travel weekend and a long, busy week at work is doing me in!

I’m tired and it’s only Thursday..

I see lots of coffee in my future!

So, yesterday will be pretty easy to recap, since I managed to not take pictures of most of my day…

Breakfast was…

THE USUAL!

But, this time, the bacon was burned, the eggs were a bit under done and I never got to cut up an apple- because, I stepped in a massive (and I mean MASSIVE) pile of shit as I was getting ready to photograph…

Well, by the time I got that cleaned up, it was time to race out the door, so I threw a greek yogurt, some leftover pesto chicken and some almonds into my bag and figured I’d get a salad at work…

I got lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, blue cheese and some red quinoa from the salad bar and topped it with my leftover pesto chicken.

I also had a:

Starbucks Skinny Peppermint Mocha..

Honestly, I was super-excited for it, and didn’t really love it.  I would have been much happier with my regular skinny vanilla… the mocha tasted a bit chalky and there was no peppermint to be found!

But, it kept me awake through my stitch and chat class at:

I needed some fibers and guidance for my newest project (purchased this past weekend in New Orleans)…

We stopped into The Quarter Stitch- where Mom used to shop in LA- and had a great time!  It’s a compact little shop, but great canvases and a warm atmosphere!

Here’s my newest project:

I started with the yellow martini, with a new fiber (new to me!) called Sprinkles…

It was a little slippery to work with, but I think it looks great!

I didn’t get home until late, but the best-husband-in-the-world, had dinner waiting!

Homemade meatloaf and green beans!  Not terribly fancy, but tasted great after a long day!

I didn’t make it to the gym yesterday, but I wanted to rest my knee for a day..

It’s been making some strange clicking noises, that I suspect are not too good…

Oh well, I can still walk on it :-)

I’ll try and do an easy walk around the neighborhood or on the treadmill today.

Hope you have a great day!
