So, in case you hadn’t noticed, I’m a little type A (++++++).
Lately, we’ve been so busy with personal and professional commitments, that all levels of organization and planning have gone out the door.
But, this week, we got back into one of my favorite weekend habits: sunday morning clip, list and sip!
Ok, that’s a dramatic title for the reality: we sit around in our pjs, drinking cofffee, reading the sunday paper, clipping coupons and making our shopping list for the week.
We’ve also started to develop a weekly meal plan, with notes and ‘chef’ assignments.
My mother-in-law got me these neat magnet notepad as a Christmas gift and it’s perfect for planning out our weekly shopping, meals and schedules.
As I look through blogs and cookbooks for the recipes (usually ones that have lots of leftovers for lunches!), Brian clips coupons and reviews what we have in the fridge/pantry.
Pretty good teamwork! It’s really helped us stay on track with healthy eating plans, saving money by having a plan for the grocery store and saving time/hassle when we get home late and tired from work!

Plenty of room to write a lunch/dinner meal plan (we don’t usually plan breakfast, since we both eat pretty much the same thing on our way out the door!).
We also use the notes at the bottom for reminders or things we forgot at the store! I like to prep a few servings of quinoa, turkey bacon and roasted veggies each week to have on hand- makes for super quick and easy sides!
Here are some options I found online, if you think something like this might help you!
